About Us

Since 2015 the Indo-German Media Network (IGMN) has hosted seminars, webinars, facilitated cross-border reporting and interdisciplinary learning between journalists and media professionals from India and Germany. Events take place both in India and Germany on a yearly basis, while the virtual exchange and debate is active and alive throughout.

Members benefit from a dense network of professionals across disciplines in India and Germany, the visibility of their expertise and opportunities to learn and contribute to each others’ work. Organizations and Institutions can approach the IGMN in search for experts, idea exchange and editorial support.

We were founded by alumni of the India-Germany Media Ambassador-Programme of the Robert Bosch Foundation. Between 2015 and 2019, this programme enabled about 70 journalists from India and Germany to live, learn and work in each other’s media environments for three months. The network has grown along with it’s members and today connects professionals from media and many knowledge traditions, including senior journalists, editors, researchers, authors, and policy commentators working in positions of influence.
