Amit Kamath is an Assistant Editor at The Indian Express, where he leads the digital sports team, reports on beats like chess and Olympic sports and co-hosts the weekly sports podcast. Based in Mumbai, he has over 15 years of experience as a journalist across six newsrooms in India. His work has been recognised with the National RedInk Award for Excellence in Journalism and the SCARF Media for Mental Health Award.

He was part of the 2019 cohort of fellows in the Robert Bosch Media Ambassadors Fellowship.
