Iris Völlnagel is a German TV journalist, author and podcaster based in Leipzig.

She works as a daily television reporter for Tagesschau, Germany’s most popular seen news program. She also reports for the regional news programs of MDR and SWR, both public broadcasting companies.

She is also an alumna of the Robert-Bosch media Ambassador Programs for India (2018) and China (2016).

In addition as her work as a reporter, she is currently writing a book about India as a refuge for European Jews during the Holocaust.
